Hyderabad, August 15: A grand Independence Day celebration was held at Riyaz-ul-Uloom and Riyaz Islamic School, located in Mustafa Nagar, Falaknuma, Hyderabad. The programme was presided over by the founder of the institution, Maulana Mohammad Siddiq Ahmed Qadri Hasami, while the school’s head, Maulana Mohammad Ryiaz Ahmed Quadri Husami, hoisted the national flag. Following the flag hoisting, the national anthem “Jana Gana Mana” was rendered with great enthusiasm by the students.

In their speeches, students paid rich tributes to the sacrifices made by Muslim leaders in India’s freedom struggle. They also highlighted the contributions of professionals from various fields such as doctors, army officers, police officers, scientists, and other experts whose work continues to propel the nation towards progress. Later, students presented engaging and thought-provoking dialogues on the advantages and disadvantages of social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and others.

Addressing the gathering, Maulana Mohammad Siddiq Ahmed Quadri Husami advised the students that pursuing higher education should be their foremost goal. He emphasised that knowledge gained with dedication, perseverance, and hard work is the true wealth of a nation. He further stated that good education and character can make the new generation skilled and capable, that valuing time and maintaining a positive mindset lead to success, and that every individual has a role to play in the nation’s development, both academically and practically.

At the conclusion of the programme, medals were awarded by the founder to students who secured first position in the FA-1 examinations, and participation certificates were distributed to all students who took part in the event. The occasion was also attended by all teaching staff, along with Maulana Mohammad Qutbuddin Rahmani and Maulana Mohammad Mujeebur Rahman.
